During explosions all the sensitive electronic equipment on navy vessel, will be damaged if not protected against the shock impact. Continuous operation of the navy vessel is in severe danger that is why shock mounts are used in order to protect the equipment.
The complete floor where all the sensitive electronic equipment is installed will be made flexible. By placing New2C under the floor construction the floor is protected against vibration and shock. In case of shock the whole floor can move up to 70 mm in all directions and will reduce the G forces and shock impact.
Shock mounts can be made from a special rubber to metal structure like the New 2 c or so called hut elements and is suitable for both shock and vibration requirements at a very high level at the same time. Shock mounts can also made from cable wires or high tensile stainless steel in combination with a special expiry resin or other special materials depending on specific customer demands for these shock mounts.
