In case an underwater mines explodes a mine-hunting vessel or submarine is exposed to a shock impact that can have a force of for example 250 G during several milliseconds.
This shock impact will damage the gyroscope if it is not protected against the shock impact. Continuos operation of the navy vessels and submarines is in severe danger.
Therefore the gyroscope is placed upon three aloshock mounts that protects the gyroscope from shock impact in all directions (X, Y and Z) and reduces the shock impact from 250 G to for example 6 G and repositions the gyroscope with less deviation than 0.015mm (0.000059”). The result is that continuos operation is guaranteed.
Mine hunting vessel and submarine gyroscopes protected with Aloshock have continuous operation with a low investment. The Aloshock is a registered NATO Stock number.
